More Thank You Cards

I was able to get into my stamp room and CASE this card.  I just received this new Stampin' Up! set called Mosaic Madness.  LOVE IT!!!  Love how the stamp set, embossing folder and punches coordinate.

I have been going through quite a few thank you cards since Rich and I are now the chairpersons for the clubhouse at the beach.  Whenever we have an event, which is every month, sometimes biweekly, I send thank you cards to the volunteers for their time.  They are truly wonderful people and the thank you card is the least I can do.

I cased it from http://furrytalecardsandcrafts.blogspot.com.au/2013/06/sneaky-peeks.html .  Thank you for the idea. Love it!!!

Finally Stampin'

FINALLY!!! Getting some stamping time back into my home.

I sure do miss it.  These two I made for a reason.

This one is from Stampin' Up!'s Sprinkled Expressions set. I made it for my young friend, Samantha.  She is a lifeguard at our Berlin, MD place.  She made the Beach Patrol for Ocean City for next year.

This one I made for Taylor, my other lifeguard, young friend.  She broke her elbow playing volleyball. Bless her heart.  Set is by Our Craft Lounge.

I'm thinking of you guys and miss you both!!!

Stamping While Husband Snoozes

Fun! Fun! Fun!  I was watching tv with my hubby, and glanced over to him to see his eyes shut.  So I snuck into my stamping area and made a bunch of Thank You cards.  They can be for anything really, Thank you for being a friend, thank you for being generous, for a gift, just because.

I love these bright colors.  The flowers is a retired Stampin' Up! set, and all of the greetings are from a Fiskars Thank you set.  Love them!!!

Sorry this isn't the best picture.  I had to take it with my cell phone.

Yesterday was a very wet day.  Torrential rains from Tropical Storm/Cyclone Andrea visited us along with winds and rain.  The dogs slept the day away, so I made 8 of these cards.  I can not take credit for them. I saw them on Pinterest and cased it. I changed the color and ribbon to use what I have, but it's pretty well cased.  http://pinterest.com/pin/264797653063378666/

Unmounting stamping wheels

Stampers!!! I unmounted my stamping wheels and put them on foam cling. Now I can stamp them straight, and color them in with my markers.

FYI, you can fit 8 standard wheels in the SU DVD cases, (4 on each side),  and 4 jumbo wheels in one case, (2 on each side).

I couldn't figure out how to stamp them, SU doesn't make a block large enough for them. I tried diagonal on the large background block. Eehh... but my demo, April Prachniak, suggested the extended plate from the Big Kick/Shot.  How ingenious!!! April, Thank you for resolving my dilemma!!!!

(PS) to unmount them from the wheel, all you need to do is take an exacto knife and break the seam.  Then they peel right off of the wheel.  I kid you not, our little stamping friend, Morgan, who is going to be 3 years old next month, helped peel them from the wheels. She had a blast!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Rainy Day Stamping

Hello stampers!!!  Well, it has been raining all day here in good ol' Dundalk, Maryland.  What's the best way to pass the time when it's raining??? S T A M P !!!!

Both of these cards I "cased" from Pinterest.  For those that do not know what "case" means, it is "Cope and Steal Everything". HAHAHAHHA!!!  The great thing with stamping, you can see a card you like and adjust it to what stamps or colors you have.

The greeting in this set is from a CTMH set;

Thanks for stopping by!

April's cards.

Now I am all caught up.  I will continue the cards as I go along now.  And I will start putting the cards I make at clubs and classes.

This one I totally cased.  I saw it on Pinterest and loved it. I have the retired Stampin' Up! Doodle This set. I honestly did not know why I bought it.  It's not that "pretty".  But when I saw this card, originally done in Marina Mist, I knew I had to make it. Sorry, I didn't have any Marina Mist ribbon.

This one, how cute, is a digi image from Meljen.  My friend had hand surgery and I wanted to send a get well card.  LOVE IT!! I'm so addicted to pigs, snails, hedgehogs, etc...

This cutie is another digi image from Meljen.  I did a gate fold with the two layers going in opposite directions.

This is another cased card I saw on Pinterest.   Except I put the black bird on this from a die set I had found.

Another Pinterest cased card.  So easy and cute.

March's cards

Some of these  you might like, some you may not. But I try, even outside of the box.

This one, I had just gotten this Spellbinders Nestabilities die.

I was cleaning out my stamp room and found the card makings for an old swap that I missed.  This was my friend Lynn H's card.  Cute huh? It is using Stampin' Up Pocket Silhouettes and Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Another old swap card I found.  This was my creation.  I love this envelope die. Better get it soon! Stampin' Up! is retiring it this month.

This was another swap card makings I had left over from an old swap. This was my card creation. I did the center card in a different way with the purple Spellbinder Nestabilities die.

Then I was playing around with more of the hydrangea punch flowers and decided to make this cute card. This is Stampin' Up! Totally Tess.  How cute!!! I gave this to my Mother In Law

Then I decided to try my hand at scrapbooking.  The first one I decided to make was for my niece Jessica, my brother's daughter.  (I have two nieces named Jessica, one on each side).

And these last four cards I made because my Mother In Law gave me these gorgeous butterflies.  They are layered with glitter/bling. How gorgeous.  And of course I just got this new Spellbinders Nestabilities die.  LOVE IT!

February 2013 cards

Another great month of making cards. As you can see, I was a little busy.

I made a "magic" card with a Stampin' Up sailboat.  LOVE IT!! So easy!

Then I decided to case a card I had seen.  This is using Stampin' Up! Stippled Blossom and Perfectly Penned.  I made 2 of each, one Get Well and One Birthday.

This is sad.  I found the most adorable little girl digi images and was buying them up left and right! They are from The Digi Garden, https://www.facebook.com/TheDigiGarden

Not too soon after I started buying them, the owner/artist, Jacqui, who lived in England, her and I started chatting.  Just once or twice, she was not feeling too well and was home recovering.  She even made an image of a little girl named after me!!!  Not even a day after my last email with her, we were told she had passed away.  They no longer sell her images.  God Bless you Jacqui !!! You are missed.

I had purchased this Spellbinders butterfly die.  What a PAIN IN THE A##!!!!  Just saying, have a piercing tool ready. I was also told to use a piece of wax paper in between the die and the paper to help the die come loose from the paper easily.  I will have to try that the next time I make something with a detailed die.

This one... my Mother-In-Law bought me a Hot Off the Press kit with a cd of ideas and directions to make a lot of different things.  One of them was this card-box.  Check out the video.

My friend Lynn started me with this.  She got the Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch.  I JUST LOVE IT!!!  There are two sizes.  The circle behind it is a Spellbinders die.

This one is using two Stampin' Up embossing folders.

Another card I've really been wanting to make.  I had to google the instructions on this, but it is SOOOOO easy!!! I love it.    The paper is a Susan Winget paper pack I purchased from JoAnn Fabrics with my 50% off.  Hey, it was 360 sheets of gorgeous paper!!!!

Thanks again for taking a look!!!!
