Rainy Day Stamping

Hello stampers!!!  Well, it has been raining all day here in good ol' Dundalk, Maryland.  What's the best way to pass the time when it's raining??? S T A M P !!!!

Both of these cards I "cased" from Pinterest.  For those that do not know what "case" means, it is "Cope and Steal Everything". HAHAHAHHA!!!  The great thing with stamping, you can see a card you like and adjust it to what stamps or colors you have.

The greeting in this set is from a CTMH set;

Thanks for stopping by!

Cased layout

I saw this layout on a card from http://franticstampers.com/ 's website.  I bought this really terrific paper pack from CTMH, Pemberton, and thought this paper would be terrific for these two occasions.  I love the fact that the matching card stock comes with the patterned paper. FABULOUS!!!

Lots of stamping!

It has been a terrific 2 weeks of stamping.

These are from April Prachniak's stamp club.  If you like April's cards and you live in the Baltimore, MD area, contact her for classes or upcoming clubs at http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/mystampplace/about

I had to order the ornament punch just because of this crab. How adorable?!?!?!

Now Lynn and I got this window die (from www.poppystamps.com). I may have already posted this, but I can't help it, it's so darn cute!!!!

And we made this card too;

Then while I was at the ocean, I took some shoeboxes to make.  All of these are cased cards.  If I find the original inspiration websites, I will post them. I am not taking credit for them.

This one I changed up a little bit.  But it's pretty much the same. LOVE IT!

I did this with chalks, and have to say, I honestly didn't like it. It really needs the markers to make it pop.

This one I did use markers and think it looks so much better.

I did this one in two different browns.  What do you think?

This one is Close To My Heart.  I absolutely love tis set, called Perfect Day.  My friend Mary Hamre is a CTMH demonstrator. If you like their products and would like to place an order, contact her at http://maryhamre.ctmh.com/

And when we got back from the ocean, I went to Lynn's house and made 8 of these.  I never have enough get well cards. (Or Sympathy cards).

I love this set.  I loved it back when I was a demo and used it and still love it now.

Thank you so much for visiting !

Lions, Tigers and Bears (Oh My!) Swap

Keeping the mojo going (even though I really wasn't feeling it today), I got another set of cards done for another swap I had joined.  This is for the Lions, Tigers and Bears (Oh My!) swap. You can do any animal you want, and bugs are included.  Here is the link... I believe there are still openings...

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/cards-f107/*new-open*-lions-tigers-bears-%96-oh-my-all-animals-%96-4-1-swap-due-11-1-a-t535184.html

Keeping with my new found thinking, I am using what I have. I know... stampers say that a lot, I'll use what I have, then we hoard paper, keeping buying new stamps and supplies, etc...  Well, don't get me wrong, you can never have enough stamps, and punches, and "things"... hahahah!!!  But I really do want to start using things I have.   So this is using the CTMH Making Waves set.  The bubbles on the side is an EK Success punch, and the patterned paper my mother in law had gotten me from QVC or HSN. I used crystal effects on all of the bubbles and his goggles, and the colored letters in "Splish Splash".

What do you think?

Oh yeah... slowly getting some stamping done.

I do have to say... having two puppies takes quite a lot out of a person. Especially these two puppies, because we treat them like our children.  Moose had another eye surgery on 1/12/11 to hopefully finish correcting his eye problem, and he had an eye removed, so needless to say, the medication, his stitches, and trying to keep the twins separated enough to not have any stitches break has been my main feat.  But.... alas... his stitches come out in two more days, and I have been able to squeeze in some stamping.

Here is Moose and Mai. Moose is on the right, Maiis on the left.

 Awww... he has his arm around her.

ONTO THE CARDS!!!

This was so thoughtful. This is from my friend Brandy Boccia.  She is a SU Demonstrator (if you are ever interested in classes, you can contact her at waxaddict1@yahoo.com ) This is using Stampin' Up's Just Buzzin By set.  Isn't this adorable?!?!?

I made this for my friends Lynn H. and Mary H.  This is using a CTMH set (current), and it is really adorable.

Now... my mother in law called me on Thursday to tell me she had something for me.  I go to her house and see this super bright pink board with all of these lines on it.  It's called The Ultimate Embossing System.  At first, I thought...  hmmm...  what in the world can I do with this. Well... it comes with a 3-hour dvd, which I've only seen maybe an hour of, and this thing is incredible!!!  I can't wait to play with it, but the pups take up so much of my time.
 Sooo....  I thought I would try something quick.  Of course the woman on the dvd makes everything look super easy. That's because she knows what she is doing...  I have no clue! HAHAHAH!!!  I figured I would try something that looked super simple, and to my surprise... it was.  This isn't my best work, I did this as a quick card.....

Here is the front of the card...
And here is the inside of the card;
What do you think?  Not bad for a quick 5-minute k-card?  I used dental floss on the star, and it's actually two stars taped back to back with the floss in the center, so the star twirls in the center.  SOOOO nifty!! I can't wait to share this with my friends!!

Buuuuzzzzzzzzzz

I finally finished this little fella, along with 5 other fronts that I had done, but didn't know what to do.  This is using the crayon resist technique on glossy c/s.  Bee image is from The Angel Co., Swirled Spring Life set. The swirl is from CTMH, Little Bee, set.
