My First Attempt

My Mother-in-law bought me a package of items she saw on QVC or HSN. She loves watching the stuff on there. I went over to visit her last week, took lunch, and she had recorded a show that I had missed on Scrapbooking. As we were watching it, I saw the cd and paper, etc... and said ohhh... hold that... pause it!!! I want to get the order number and would like to order it. I went to grab my cell phone and turned around and she was holding the envelope. She made me cry because the item was actually sold out, we even checked, and I wouldn't have been able to get it. She is so amazing!!!

So I saw something on the program and wanted to re-make it. This is my very first attempt at making this card-box.

Here it is on the outside with a "belly" band. This band slips off.

I know it's not the best, but I'm so proud that I "didn't screw it up". HAHAHAH!!! It's really awesome. They had great ideas on the cd, and it's made with (1) 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. I do recommend using patterned paper, not card stock, because the card stock is thick for all of the folds.

I'm Getting There...

I'm slowly getting there re-organizing my stamp room. Boy oh boy, I must have been crazy. I started out with unmounting ALL of my SU sets. That is over 300 stamp sets, not including the background sets. I'm not unmounting my wood mounted stuff like Penny Black, DeNami chicks, etc...

And I had colored in two of these little girls and bunnies, but had not finished the card. In the process of cleaning off my stamp table, which you could not see any surface at all, I decided to finish these up once I had some type of surface to work on. What do you think?

(And yes, you know who in North Western Maryland... one will be arriving in the mail!! hee.. hee!!!)

Stamping at the Moose

Monday nights the IWIA Stampers (stands for I Want It All... hahahaha!), we go to the local Moose Lodge and bring a project to stamp. It's open to all crafters, knitters, stitchers, painters, whatever is your thing. If you are in the Baltimore area and want more information, please email me.

Anywhoo... I was cleaning my stamp room a bit (and boy it sure needs more cleaning!), and I found my chicken card I made for the Bel Air swap last year. It was during Hurricane irene. My friend Lynn took my card since we high-tailed it out of the state to my parents house. But I found the box and it had a few pieces that were undone. So I finished those up.

And I needed sympathy cards. Another friend, Robin P.'s mother passed away. God Bless her. And another friend, Crystal T.'s mother passed away a few days later. I'm so glad I was able to get 7 of these done. It's sad you need cards like this, but I'm happy to have them now.

April's Valentine/Love Card Class

3 x 3 Note Card and Box

Well, I posted something on Splitcoaststampers regarding 3x3 note cards. I have to say, I've never made them before, and I had seen several on a blog that were gorgeous. I couldn't think of a use for them, and several people posted back to me, GIFTS!! DUH!

Ok... my first attempt at 3x3 Note Cards and the box.

To make the box;

Bottom is 7-1/2" x 7-1/2" square. Scored at 2" all the way around

Top is 5-5/8" x 5-5/8" square. Scored at 1" all the way around.

I found this really girly background paper, (I'm a paper hoarder), and I used the Forever Young Cricut Cartridge and put the gals on it. The gals are popped. But I'm thinking of adding "bling" or pearls. What do you think?

So far I have only made 4 note cards. I want to make many more. This is going to be a gift for a woman at my doctors office. I found out she is retiring on Jan. 6th, and want to make a trip to the office after Christmas to see her.

Well... after I posted this, I felt this needed something shiny. So here is what I did...

I hope you like it. Now that I've got the hang of doing this, I think I'll be making a few more. Christmas is coming and I have a niece with 3 kiddies that I'm sure wouldn't mind having something like this.

Manly Christmas Card

It's not often that my husband ask me to make a card for anyone, so when he does, I definitely make it straight away. The other night he asked me if I had any boat stamps. I said I had a sailboat and a schooner. He said can you make something with the schooner. So I made 8 of these cards. Only this one says Merry Christmas on it. The others I'm using as manly birthday cards.

I found this adorable stamp while Christmas shopping for my girlfriend Lynn Haase. I can't say where I got it from just yet, because I did get something from this particular website for her for Christmas, I will edit the post after she gets her present. I love the banners on this because you can put anything in there, Happy Birthday, Thank You, Get Well Soon, etc... It's really terrific!!!

And then onto some inspiration. I made or "cased" these cards in two different colors, Certainly Celery and So Saffron. The original card (below) has brads in the center, and the green was the only one I had some type of green brad with. (One more reason to love SU products, everything matches!!!!)

The saffron, I did with rhinestones because I couldn't find any brads that matched closely.

Stamping at Lynn's on a rainy day...

What a yucky day today. And boy was I a happy camper when my friend Lynn Haase called me and said, come on over... it's yucky and time to play!!! So off I went.

She found a retired SU stamp set for me called Mostly Flowers, and we made (6) of these cards. Simple, yet really pretty!!!

And I was able to finish my 12 Christmas cards. This is a digi from Dustin Pike's artwork. I love his artwork and thought this was super cute.

Ho! Ho! Ho!!! I'll get some of these babies out in the mail tomorrow! WOOHOO!!!

Clear/Acrylic stamp card swap

I know you all probably have a ton of those $1 clear or acrylic stamps you get from AC Moore/Michaels, or JoAnn's. I was with my friend Lynn Haase, and she has a tub of her acrylic stamps, yes, all in the individual package like they've never been touched. She suggested the swap, so here it is.

Sympathy and Religious card swap on Splitcoast

You know how you join a swap, and then have stampers block? HAHAHAH!! This swap is due on Nov. 18th. I am normally the person that has their cards in first... but this time, I just hit stampers block. Casing is great, but I'm typically not a caser. I like to come up with ideas on my own. And this time, I struggled with it. But I think they came out nicely. Let me know what you think.

This was a bookmark card I was going to make as my religious card. Instead, I decided to use it as my Thank you card to the hostess of the swap. I got to use my handy dandy perforator that I bought a little bit ago. AND... the image goes back 10+ years ago.

(OK... little story here. A LONG time ago, I was into stamping. I was an SU demonstrator, but before that, I loved stamping with my friends, Cindy, Robin and Patty. There was a terrific little stamp store in California, woman who owned it, her name is Adele. (Can't remember the store). She sold sheets of stamp sets. I did a lot of things on my computer and sent them to her. In return, she would send me a sheet of stamps for free. This is a set that I purchased from her. I absolutely loved this artist and even went to Pennsylvania to meet her. And this stuff was put on VELCRO!!! This was before cushion was really out. Kinda like the VHS vs. Beta fight... Velcro lost and cushion won. But I had a ton of stamps on velcro. When I got out of stamping, my friend Robin took all of my velcro'd stamps. Earlier this spring, Robin contacted me and had a flood in her basement. She went through her stuff and found the stamps untouched. But she really didn't use them. And can you believe she contacted me and asked me if I wanted them back!?!?!?!? THANK YOU SO MUCH ROBIN!!!! This set is from those velcro backed stamps.)

This is my Sympathy card. I used SU French Foliage in Basic Gray, Black and Soft Suede. It has vellum over it to make it look softer. The "Always Remember" set is from The Angel Co.

Ohhh I had fun with this. This saying is also from the elusive velcro backed stamps I have. This is the "general" religious card. I used Sizzix Leaves #2, and then ran them through different cuttlebug folders. The lace is antique lace my mother-in-law found and had given me some of it. I've been hoarding it, but figured it's not going to be appreciated until I use it.

I love Whipper Snapper Stamps!

I have a few birthdays coming up that I need to make birthday cards for. I got this particular stamp, Whipper Snapper stamps, because of my niece Elise. When she was a child, it seemed as if she had a New York accent. So when she said "party"... it always came out like "potty"... HAHAHAH!! And when I saw this stamp, I just had to have it.

Happy Birthday Elise... (also Jared Haase... he has one coming too. His birthday is next week! Happy Birthday to you too Jared!!!)

Ok... amendment!!! It needed glitter or sparkle ... so I added green and yellow glitter. What do ya think?

Fun at Lynn's

It's always fun at Lynn Haase's house!!! After my mammo this morning (good report thank God), I went over to her house. Wasn't sure what we were going to do, and she has been on a roll with stamping cards. Her cards are GORGEOUS!!! Well... she said, I want to use sets I haven't or don't use. She went to her bookshelf where all of her glorious stamps are and said pick a shelf... 3rd shelf down. 2 stacks from the right, 3rd set down. And there it was... AUTUMN. Go figure!!! So Lynn jumped on the computer and looked at Splicoaststamper's Gallery website. She found this beautiful card and said, hey.. let's make this. So this is our interpretation (Cased) card we did with what she had.

I really love this card!! So beautiful and fun...

This looks hard, but when Brandy did the work and had all of these punched already, it wasn't hard or time consuming at all. This is a "quilted" card. Not only did this have all of the triangles, this was also run through the Big Kick with the Basketweave embossing folder;

This was the first card we did with the Autumn Days set. I love this set. And the colors are wonderful.

This is with the new single stamp in the winter mini, along with all new in color paper, new buttons in the mini and new dsp.

I thought this was the ultimate in KISS cards... Keep It Simply Silly... No layers, just straight on vanilla card stock. This is using French Foliage.

And again with the new single stamp from the mini. How awesome is this fall card?!?!??!?!

And this one using the large doily stamp. So pretty!

Now this one I took this morning of Moose since I was taking pictures. He is sooo big!!! I believe he is now upwards to 70lbs. WoW!!! But look at this face only a mother could love. Awww...

April used Field Flowers for Lynn's club night. Lynn Haase and I both love, love, love this set. Of course we both ordered it as well... and I can't wait to get it in my hot little hands!!! But this is what she did with the set.

This one she didn't put a 'saying' on it... I have to decide on what i want to use. But it is still gorgeous!

I joined yet another swap on SplitCoastStampers... her hee... it's a Birthday card swap. It's not due until Nov. 1, but there's nothing like the present. This didn't turn out exa

ctly as I had liked. I found that I have 13 packs of Stampin' Up DSP that are either not opened or barely used. So I pulled out a pack and used the colors in it.

Also, the layout is from Splitcoaststampers Forum... So what do you think? I turned mine sideways....

Well... I let the patterned paper decide. So I started looking through my ENORMOUS stash of patterned paper, and this glittered heart puppy paw paper caught my eye. Hmmm... I didn't think about doggies. And why would I, as I was gazing at my two gorgeous pups (sarcasm :o) ). So I decided to do this doggy card. I love dogs, love my dogs to death. I call them "The Kids". So this is a tribute to my love of dogs.

Keeping with my new found thinking, I am using what I have. I know... stampers say that a lot, I'll use what I have, then we hoard paper, keeping buying new stamps and supplies, etc... Well, don't get me wrong, you can never have enough stamps, and punches, and "things"... hahahah!!! But I really do want to start using things I have. So this is using the CTMH Making Waves set. The bubbles on the side is an EK Success punch, and the patterned paper my mother in law had gotten me from QVC or HSN. I used crystal effects on all of the bubbles and his goggles, and the colored letters in "Splish Splash".

Brandy's card class and other things....

8-17-2011 was a great day!!! I was able to get the Turquoise and Brown cards done for that swap, Rich arrived safely in San Antonio for work and Brandy has a card class. I had this idea with the petals, but just couldn't think of exactly what I wanted to do in the middle. But I finally settled on this. I think it looks good. I couldn't find any rhinestones, pearls, or even stickler that were turquoise or brown. So this is going to be sent for the swap. Let me know what you think.

I used Stampin' Up Regal Rose and Early Espresso c/s. SU tulip border embossing folder, and Easter Blossoms cherry blossom and Tagtastic Just for you. White gel pen to color in the cherry blossoms, and clear bark/brown embossing powder. Also, the Cricut Cartridge Elegant Edges for the layers. (I LOVE that cartridge!!!) What do you think?

I love Dawn Griffith's website and you tube tutorials/video's. She is an amazing Stampin' Up! demonstrator that I love to follow online. I saw this card and was quite inspired. She was inspired by a card she received, and I just had to make this. I don't have the new SU snowmen stamp set yet, but fall is right around the corner... so use what you have, as I always say!! (HAHAHHA... if that were always the case, I wouldn't be buying as much as I do. But we're stampers, we need IT ALL!!!!)

Another fabulous evening stamping with my buds! I LOVE stamping with my friends!!! I sure do miss meeting at the Moose and stamping every week, to be honest. But... I'll take what I can get, and boy do I get A LOT !!! April's Card Club last night

Last night was my turn to hostess the bi-monthly card club that I am in with April Prachniak. (If you like April's cards and wish to join a class or club, please contact her at http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/mystampplace/events

April typically asks the hostess what she wants to make.... either using a particular set or punch or whatever... she tries to accomodate her wishes. Normally, I have a bazillion ideas of what I want to see, but this time, I asked for 1 simple thing, please make a card to fit in a normal business size envelope. I believe it is 4" x 9". Of course you can make your card to fit in whatever size envelope you have... I just wanted to do something alittle different than the standard 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".

So here is one of the cards we made, using the new pendant punch. This was an all punch card... utilizing tons of different punches. What fun!!!

And ohhhhh... Delicate Doilies, which I just had to order... and the new punch.

And of course, my favorite.... My Friend card, the long card to fit in a standard business size envelope. She even gave us the envelopes. But how pretty is this?!?!?!

And a big thank you to my friend Lynn Haase. She made this gorgeous birthday card for me with a wonderful birthday surprise inside. THANK YOU LYNN !!!!

And thank you ladies, all that came. I had a great time and can't wait to get together with everyone again soon!

I think this stamp is so pretty! It's new in the Stampin' Up! catalog and it's called Four Frames.

And the green punch on here is being discontinued. I really wish Stampin' Up! wouldn't discontinue their punches. They still have the hardware available that utilizes this punch! But Brandy did a great job with all of this... sooo pretty!!!

I have joined this place I found online called Raisin Boat Stamp Rental. http://www.raisinboat.com/

They are the Netflix of stamping!!! The dollar amount you spend per month depends on how many sets you want at a time/per month. Just like you know who. But it's great because it's for stampers!!!!

They are clear acrylic stamps. Very good quality. You might have to rub the brand new ones on your jeans, they might be a little sticky, but after that second, it was great.

I received my three sets... and this one is called For The Birds.

Just as I was finishing this card, my blender pens were giving out.

I love this one with his head in the ground. How cute!??!?!

I soooooo love going to card classes. So many talented demonstrators (April and Brandy), but today... this showcases April's cards. The first three were from a friend of mine, Melissa F's card club. Her daughter is getting married and she wanted "wedding" themed cards. Today it has been raining, and it seems like it has been gloomy for weeks now. We have a day here and there where the weather is beautiful, but then *BAM*... Mother Nature throws these gloomy days in and says, April Showers.... and boy does she mean it. So today I played around with "Orange" today. Something bright, a bit cheery, and Orange you glad I did? HAHAHAH! This is from the Cricut Preserves cartridge. It's actually the grapefruit, but I was watching My Pink Stamper, http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ , and she inspired me to get a little motivated. I actually had this ribbon on the orange card above, and thought, gosh, it's already so "busy". So.... don't let anything go to waste! I took it off and made another card with the same colors in it. I saw this technique on a YouTube video from Dawn5377, http://www.youtube.com/user/dawn5377#p/search/1/iEva0ZoX8lU/ . It is using embossing resist. It's pretty much a cased card, I changed mine a little to match the ribbon and add the layer of close to cocoa, instead of full layers. But her tutorials are awesome. Thanks for stopping by!

Ok, what do you think? I honestly haven't played with my Cricut a whole lot.... and we now have Apple ITv. I can watch a ton of stuff from YouTube on there, and it has inspired me to want to do more. Especially since my DH just got me the Circut Expression. It was great, now that it is a 12x12 mat and I don't have to cut a piece, take it off of the smaller mat, put another piece of paper on it, etc... I was able to put all 3 colors of c/s on the mat. That was fun!!! I also used Stampin' Up! Asian Artistry set for the background. What do you think?

Ok.... what do you think? I made this for my swap card for the Bel Air swap coming up on April 16th. I honestly can't wait to go. It doesn't involve a lot of stamping, but I thought this was involved enough with all of the assembly. I have pre-embossed the wood background, used the Cricut Lacy Labels cartridge for the 3 layers of always artichoke, night of navy and very vanilla, and pre-sizzixed the leaves. All ready to go! I can't wait... going to be lots of fun!

Have you ever made a card, or thought about making a card, and just didn't know which color embellishment would look better with it? Well... that was me today. I made four cards, all the same, except the embellishment pearl or rhinestone was different. This is Stampin' Up!'s Because I Care, level 1 hostess set.

Here I used a Brilliant blue pearl;

it looks more blue close up;

Here I used white pearls, but you can't even see them...

Until you have the card and can see the white pearls;

Here I used black pearls;

And hear I used clear rhinestones;

Prettier if you see it in person I guess;

All of the flowers where the pearls or rhinestones are, are popped up.

Happy Birthday Dad

My dad's birthday was on the 25th. I made this card for him with paper my MIL had given me from HSN or QVC. It's textured, but I was not happy with it at all. It's not Stampin' Up!, that's for sure. The brown c/s, when I folded it, it cracked and the white showed through. So I had to cut it down to a front, but now all of the edges show white. All of the c/s you see, the dark red, dark green and brown are all that way. Tsk... tsk... not everyone can be SU!... I guess that's why I love their c/s so much. Now the patterned paper is The Angel Co. A friend had given me a paper pack, which I have to say is quite nice. It's not double sided, and it does not offer as many sheets as SU does, but I liked the pattern. And on the bottom of their 12x12, they have a detachable piece that shows the color groups that the paper goes with. This is on EACH sheet of paper, which is awesome, because I just looked at that and knew which it would go with.

When I was cleaning my stamp room, I found a ziplock baggy full of these daffodils, already colored, glittered and cut. I remembered that I had done this for cards I wanted to make LAST spring! Good grief!!! So now that SU has the new tulip border embossing folder, i thought this would look pretty with it. I wanted something simple, but I wanted the daffodils to POP. I put layered this onto Barely Banana just to give it the softness in the back.

This is using SU's retired Beautiful Life set and the greeting is from the current Easter Blossoms set.

First, I have to say we didn't make this card. She made this card for her husband for Valentines day and I saw it on the counter. I thought this was AMAZING!!!! Can you tell he's a Trekkie???? Man, what a great punch art card!!!

And her birthday was this past Friday, and I saw this card on her mante. How pretty! I'm a paisley nut, as she is as well, and I went crazy for this card.

Now... ONTO the cards from the class. When Brandy showed us this on, my first saying was... what set is this from? DUH!!! One of the first sets I purchased getting back into stamping, Baroque Motif. The colors are great too!

And then we made this fun card. The jar is darker than it looks in the pic, and the honey has crystal effects on it. This is from the Just Buzzin' By set.

And this cutie is from Animal Stories. I put Happy Birthday on it, but others put Hello Baby. Great card for many different occassions.

And this pretty card was fun too. She was super organized with the butterflies and had 2 cards made that we could choose from to make. The "white" in the words Happy Birthday, is actually shimmer paint. Just to give it some pop.

Brandy chick... loved the cards!! Can't wait until your next class.

Stamping with Lynn

Today was a pretty good day. Started out a bit on the slow side. Rich left for St. Louis... got up at 4am (YUCK *~*) because his flight to Georgia was early, then a layover and onward to St. Louie. The pups were wired and took a wee nap. My friend Lynn Haase, who lives about 5 miles from me, is always UBER busy, but today, alas, we were able to get in some stamping time.

Lynn made this beer card with Stampin' Up Cheers To You set. The pretty ribbon type of scallopy border, she made with a Martha Steward border punch. She just did it on both sides of the paper. My friends are so ingenious this way!!!! But she had made this before I had gotten there. While I was there, she was working on something for her father's 80th birthday. Happy Early Birthday dad!!!

I, on the other hand, made 12 birthday cards, in 3 different colors, using the Stampin Up Pocket Sillhouettes set and Well Scripted set, and 2 different Stampin Up embossing folders.

I do have to say... having two puppies takes quite a lot out of a person. Especially these two puppies, because we treat them like our children. Moose had another eye surgery on 1/12/11 to hopefully finish correcting his eye problem, and he had an eye removed, so needless to say, the medication, his stitches, and trying to keep the twins separated enough to not have any stitches break has been my main feat. But.... alas... his stitches come out in two more days, and I have been able to squeeze in some stamping.

I made this for my friends Lynn H. and Mary H. This is using a CTMH set (current), and it is really adorable.

Now... my mother in law called me on Thursday to tell me she had something for me. I go to her house and see this super bright pink board with all of these lines on it. It's called The Ultimate Embossing System. At first, I thought... hmmm... what in the world can I do with this. Well... it comes with a 3-hour dvd, which I've only seen maybe an hour of, and this thing is incredible!!! I can't wait to play with it, but the pups take up so much of my time.

Sooo.... I thought I would try something quick. Of course the woman on the dvd makes everything look super easy. That's because she knows what she is doing... I have no clue! HAHAHAH!!! I figured I would try something that looked super simple, and to my surprise... it was. This isn't my best work, I did this as a quick card.....

What do you think? Not bad for a quick 5-minute k-card? I used dental floss on the star, and it's actually two stars taped back to back with the floss in the center, so the star twirls in the center. SOOOO nifty!! I can't wait to share this with my friends!!

Oh what fun!!! Last night was Christmas cards at April's. Can you believe Halloween is over already and we're making Christmas cards?!?!? Personally, I can't wait until January to start some new holidays. It seems that Halloween and Christmas are celebrated and advertised for months. I give thanks to Jesus every day, not just a Hallmark holiday. But I do have to say I love sending Christmas cards out. It just lets people know, even if you haven't seen them in ages, that you're thinking of them.

What a fun week!!! Thursday night was my friend Kim's club night. She invited me, and of course I just had to go. Then Friday night was April's Fall card class... and oohhhh it was so much fun!!! 9 women on a sugar high at my house. Could you believe the pups slept through the whole thing?!?! And we were NOT being quiet!!! HAHAHAH!!!

And now, onto some puppy love!!! We "had" a pretty big garden in the back yard that was coming to it's end. The kids, as you can see, was having a great time being explorers in this vast overgrown field;

First week with the pups

Well... it's been our first official week as new parents to Mai and Moose. I can honestly say, "WE" have all adjusted quite nicely. Except the lack of sleep on the human's part... the puppies are doing really great. And growing quickly, and developing nice personalities.

Me and Mai, she absolutely loves to snuggle... until she realized how comfortable the love seat is. So I only get this when she is extra tired;

Yes... Moose LOVES watching tv. His favorite programs are Family Feud, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

Rich's sister, Carolyn, came to visit. Mai just melted on her lap;

I hope they continue to be this close as they get older. They love touching each other when they sleep, for the most part. If you see one sleeping, typically the other is awake...

Even for mom... Mai loves to snuggle and curled right up with her mom.

Overall, for the first week, they are doing amazingly well. They sit, walk up the steps, play well, (for the most part), and come when called. Mai sometimes is stubborn. Moose also "Poses" when you have a camera and yell POSE. He also does a bunny hop when he's outside that is absolutely adorable, and kisses you when you say kisses... he puts his face out for you to kiss his muzzle.

New life back into these old bones

What can I say? We are the new proud parents of two baby chocolate shar-pei's!!! Gosh, if any of you know us, we had been on quite a journey with our first two shar-pei's, Mindy & Squeakie. God love them, they were our life. Squeakie died at 16-1/2 years old and Mindy died within 6 months of Squeakie passing. Of course we were devastated... and the house has not been the same.

God has blessed me with a fabulous husband who allowed me to quit work and be a housewife, which was fabulous, but the house was so quiet. He said no to a dog, but I knew in his heart, we are dog lovers. Thursday night, Rich said we needed to discuss a financial situation. He took me to his man-cave, and pointed to the screen, which was Mai Toi. I just started crying like a baby.... the tears were a flowing!!! We called Barbara Dion, of Beaux Art Chinese Shar Pei's, http://web.mac.com/barbaradion/iWeb/site/Welcome.html.

What a fabulous breeder!!!! She has been through so amazing things in here life, but the love of the breed was just absolutely amazing. She has been breeding show quality shar-pei's for 25 years!!!

Well... we purchased Mai Toi (yes... pronounced My Toy), she is a mini and "shouldn't" get bigger than about 40lbs. Rich and I drove 8-1/2 hours to North Carolina yesterday morning to pick her up. But... much to our surprise, we got there and she also brought her brother, Moose, up to visit us.. Moose is "hefty" to say the least, but these two were peas in a pod. We talked with Barb for at least 2 hours!!! She was sooo nice, extremely informative, showed us both parents, other pups, other parents... her dogs are (besides mine... hee hee) the most beautiful and well taken care of animals I have ever seen.

We just could not separate these two. They were so snuggly together, lovably, playing with each other, and Rich saw how this would devestate them being apart, so.... we bought them both!!!! (Thank you Barb!!!).

Sooo.... we are pleased to announce the two new additions to the Zaworski family: Mai Toi and Moose;

Here is our Moose fella. Ohhh and he's a poser ladies!!! I bring out the camera and say "Pose" and he strikes a move!

Yes... this is how I rode for 8-1/2 hours from North Carolina back to Baltimore. We made stops every 2 hours for the little ones potty break... and back to this we went....

I am sad to say, tonight was the last stamp club night for April's club. Well... at least one of the clubs. She is doing so well, and is such a wonderful demonstrator. I have to give her the kudo's.

I am sad because I have good news and bad news. The good news is, almost a month ago, I quit my job at Commercial Lighting. YEAH!!! The bad news is I now have no additional spending money for stamps or clubs. Boohoo...

This is an awesome fall card we made. I love it so much!

April did a fabulous job on this Halloween card. She used the smooch spray on the black spider web embossing folder, and the alcohol technique on the "Fright Night". LOVE IT!

This card was using the faux silk technique. I definitely am going to be casing this.

WoW!!!! I hadn't been to one of Cindy Linthicum's swaps in a really long time. This was so much fun!! A whole day of stamping, gabbing with friends, seeing old friends and eating some great food that everyone brought. What a terrific day this was!! I absolutely love this SU butterfly prints set. April's card club was last Thursday night, and I have to say, Kelly K, Lynn H, April, Shawna, Gloria... I never laughed so hard in such a long time. We had a FABULOUS evening. Gloria was a super hostess and her big puppy mastiffs were adorable.

This was made using the SU Butterfly Prints set with the blueberry crisp DSP.

I love the flatback pearls!

And of course the new owl punch. Gotta watch punching out those eyes... they tend to land everywhere.

And this was sooo thoughtful!!! I haven't seen Anna J. in quite a while, and she sent me this adorable belated birthday card. Thank you Anna!!!

On a personal note, I just wanted to say how blessed and thankful I am for having such wonderful friends in my life. I made this card for my husband. It's honestly a long story, but we love Disney's Kung Fu Panda, and Po reminds him of me. But Po loved his Noodles and that is my nickname for my husband... so I made this card especially for him.

Ok... today I decided to mess around with my new Cindy Loo cricut cartridge. I have never done the frames before, well... honestly I haven't done much with my Cricut to be honest... But, I am trying and experimenting.

For instance... I do know that you can do a frame. However, you can not do a shadow for the frame. And I cut a paisley for this, but it cut it in the 4", as the frame size, so that didn't work either...

So here is what I finally came up with.

I fell in love witht his set because of the versatility in the stamps. The flowers remind me of toile. The hummingbird is much like many solid images that looked "kissed" with another image. And "For You" Can be for anything. All paper is Stampin' Up! The ribbon is from Michaels, got it for $1/roll. And I just love SU's new embossing folders!!!
